“Bonjour, Paris!”, Directed by Andrew White and Sam Bates Is a playful subversion of the tropes of an American vacationer in Paris. Our mannequin, Margaux Weil, explores town in satirical vogue seems from Louis Vuitton and Gucci, styled by Mathis Bouquillion, which can be juxtaposed with landmarks and iconic neoclassical artworks on show on the Louvre Museum. With all of the subtlety of an American vacationer, Margaux is set to see each inch of town. She cosplays Napoleon on the Eiffel Tower then Marianne at la Monument à la Republique in the identical afternoon. She actually tries to do all of it! However, as vacationers do, she finds herself hopelessly misplaced, and never even the map of Paris she wears on her costume can save her. It’s not till she is chain-smoking cigarettes alone in an alley that she really has her first Parisian expertise. She is a girl reworked.
