Nigerian rapper Chibuzor Azubike Nelson, popularly often called Phyno, has reacted after a journalist accused him of promoting his N10 billion property in Lagos to an Arab businessman over tribalism.

The journalist alleged that Phyno reportedly stated it was a mistake to spend money on Yoruba land, the place his Igbo persons are not welcomed.

In a now-deleted tweet, the journalist JustSociety4All wrote,

“Musician Phyno has allegedly offered off his N10 billion property in Lagos to an Arab man from Libya. In keeping with Phyno, it was a mistake constructing such an property in Yoruba land, the place he feels his persons are not welcomed.

“He acknowledged, ‘The final election opened my eyes. The hatred in the direction of Igbos is one thing that looks like it should final without end. As an alternative of constructing in Yoruba land, I’m relocating my property to Enugu, the place my individuals will make good use of it and it’ll stay protected for generations.’”

Reacting, Phyno dismissed the report as a “lie,” questioning what the journalist supposed to attain with it.

He wrote,

“You’re a idiot for cooking up this kind of lie!!! The place are you heading with this? Anwu nta.”
