On June third, Sasha Colby formally launched her infused pre-roll Sasha Colby Kush in collaboration with queer hashish model FLAMER. Kicking issues off with Meet + Ki stops at Housing Works, CONBUD, and The Journey Company, with traces across the block in any respect three places. Sasha related with adoring followers, and even signed some distinctive private results: every part from somebody’s abdomen to an urn of their late accomplice’s ashes. She capped off the launch with an unique after-party on June 4th at FLAMER HQ in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
The celebration drew an electrifying crowd of queer creatives, artists, and nightlife icons—together with the legendary Amanda Lepore, who got here all the way in which to Brooklyn to celebration with Sasha. Inside, the area was remodeled right into a sensorial fantasy.
The room smelled of summer time, from the lit dragon-fruit-scented-joints and floral preparations by Ivan Lam. Company have been greeted by a delightfully kitschy set up of Sasha Colby’s “FLAMER workplace,” dropped at life by Jesse Hepsworth and FLAMER’s inventive staff. The hand-drawn backdrop featured whimsical submitting cupboards and bookshelves lined with cheeky titles like Story of Two Titties and Quantum Divanomics—a playful nod to queer tradition and the tongue-in-cheek spirit of the collaboration. The scene wouldn’t have been full and not using a papier-mâché laptop straight out of the early 2000s, looping unreleased clips from Sasha’s upcoming industrial—a surreal, funhouse glimpse into her dream world, the place Sasha Colby Kush first got here to life.
Creatives like comic Motti and drag artist Cherry Jaymes saved the power pulsing as a room filled with trans pleasure. Music artist and DJ Von stopped by after her set with King Princess and sipped on some Soiled Virgins. The stylish mocktails saved company hydrated in between puffs of Colby Kush. “Being surrounded by so many inspiring folks was greater than a celebration—it was a glimpse of the queer future the hashish business actually wants,” says FLAMER Co-founder and Artwork Director, Matías Alvial.
And the icing on the cake was actually a cake. Sasha blew out her “candles” (a single Sasha Colby Kush joint) as the gang sang “blissful birthday” in celebration of the official launch. After sharing smiles and bites of regionally baked tres leches, everybody went house with a customized votive candle of Saint Sasha herself.
