

The Niger State Police Command has arrested eight suspects for conspiracy, theft of bikes, receiving stolen property, and thuggery within the state.
The command, in a press release signed by its Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, in Minna, acknowledged that on third April 2025 at about 2:30 pm, following a grievance obtained, the Crack Squad of the command arrested two suspects. These included Mohammed Usman, 18, from Tunga, Minna, and Mohammed Abdullahi, 22, from Paiko space, who had been arrested for conspiracy, theft of bikes, and receiving stolen property.

It was reported that on twenty eighth March 2025 at about 5 pm, Usman boarded a motorbike to a resort round Tunga, close to the Previous Metropolis gate. After alighting, he invited the bike owner to his resort room, tricked him, took his bike key, and locked him within the room.
“Usman made off with the bike and the important thing, taking it to Abdullahi in Paiko on the market.”
Abiodun acknowledged that, throughout the course of the investigation, police detectives took swift motion and arrested Abdullahi, who had a pending case of assault associated to a gang combat at a mining web site in Paiko.
